The L A Chase Racing Team will debut their 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at the Martinsville Speedway on September 30, 2001. The black and white “POW*MIA” late model division car will be championing a new team stakeholder at the upcoming Taco Bell 300 race which will complement this Veterans oriented race car. We are honored to announce the inclusion of the
“SONS AND DAUGHTERS IN TOUCH” organization to our family of sponsors and supporters. 

Cindy Rheinheimer, SDIT National Secretary, conveyed the board of directors’ enthusiasm for being included and prominently displayed on the car. “We are pleased and excited to be a part of the NASCAR tradition of supporting regional racing that caters to the entire family.”

The mission of SDIT is to locate, unite and provide support to Sons, Daughters and other family members of those who died or remain missing as a result of the Vietnam War; to produce a quarterly newsletter providing important information to all SDIT stakeholders; to promote healing via networking and special projects, to regularly address high schools and college classes in hopes of providing education on the historical and emotional legacy of war.

Tom Dyson, the driver for the L A Chase Racing Team, is as pleased as Ms. Rheinheimer about the synergy created through the inclusion of SDIT along with Tom’s other sponsors and Veteran donors. ““Honoring Veterans” has always been a hallmark issue for our team as a way of saying “thank you” for your service and support”” said car owner Joey Sharon. The team maintains a web site at www.lachase41.com as a venue for promoting team sponsors as well as keeping fans posted about the latest L A Chase Racing Team action and related NASCAR items of interest.

The team looks forward to meeting and greeting all the Veterans at the Martinsville Virginia racetrack on the weekend of September 30 and will strive to place all the team’s supporters at the head of the track and in front of the pack.
