When I created this page, I knew that it was important to give a reason why you-
a son or a daughter should be joining us on this journey.
As I have heard a variety of reasons,
I thought it would be best if you heard it from our family's voice, not mine.

My father was KIA 20 Nov, 1966, I was only 11 months old when he was KIA. Until I found SDIT I felt like no one understood why I've always wanted to go to Vietnam. I have never been able to afford to go there but I hope to save enough money to go when SDIT make their trip in 2003. I feel like it will help me understand more about why my dad gave his life for the freedom of all who desired it.
I think SDIT is the greatest organization anyone could belong to and I think my dad looks down on me and is very proud for my interest in seeing what his eyes saw, just to see things he saw, and to walk in any of his foot steps would be worth so much to a Daughter who can't remember her dads touch, or voice, or the I love you he always told me at night before the trip that changed my life forever.
