Participants
for the SDIT Vietnam Trip began to arrive in Los Angeles on Friday, February
28, 2002.
They met at the Sheraton Hotel-Gateway near the Los Angeles International Airport. On
Friday, February 28, 2003, Terry McGregor, the son of CPT
Donald V McGregor, opened up his home for a Welcome BBQ Mixer.
On
Saturday, March 1, 2003, a Press Release was issued at the "Bob
Hope Hollywood USO". That evening, the Vietnam Veterans of America,
California
State Council, with the assistance of the Vietnam Veterans of America
Chapters in the Southern California District, hosted a Send-Off BBQ.
On
Sunday, March 2, 2003, the attending briefings regarding the trip.
SDIT- Southern California Chapter with the assistance of VVA Chapter 47-
Riverside and CB Technologies hosted a hospitality suite, prior to their
departure. At 8:00 p.m. the participants began to board shuttles
to the airport according to their team
colors.
Several "Well Wishes" were sent and I was able to print them off and post them on a bulletin board in the Hospitality Suite. I must admit that a few were not posted because they were sent, after I had left for the hotel. All the "wishes" were wonderful and I posted them on this page for all to see. Click Here. The
