This mailing list is for the purpose of discussing the experience of losing a parent, brother or other relative. Many Siblings and SDITs have much in common. Stories, essays, and poetry are welcome. Authors may wish to add a copyright statement including the phrase, "All Rights Reserved" to any original stories, essays, poetry, etc. that they post.

Your stories and  posts are private to this list.  Nothing from this list will not be used without your expressed and specific permission.

News services and other publishers of materials covered by copyright are aware that their writings are being redistributed and posted over the Internet.  They are actively looking for violators.

Please do not  post any wire/news service stories or the full text of articles, poems  or other writings which may be covered by copyright to the list without  obtaining rights and permissions from the holder of the copyright. Instead quote a very brief excerpt, enclosed in quotation marks,  crediting the author and providing the source of the quotation book/journal title, publication date, publisher).

Better yet, whenever feasible, write your own paraphrase or synopsis.  Always do the latter for wire service stories.  This will protect the list, the list owner, and the server location from any risk of exposure to possible violations of the copyright laws.
